Box floating in river contained dead cat
A dead cat was discovered inside a cardboard box found floating down a Leeds river.
The brown box, which had been taped up and partially-wrapped in a black bin-bag, was spotted on the river behind the Vue cinema on Kirkstall Road, Kirkstall. A tabby cat was found wrapped in a towel inside the box on September 2, although the RSPCA only released details yesterday. Anyone with information is asked to call 0300 1234 999.
