Mayweather hung up his gloves and retired from boxing with a 49-0 record following a victory over fighter Andre Berto in September 2015.

Tauseef Malik, owner of Mr T’s restaurant on Great Horton Road, told The Yorkshire Post: “I’m a really big fan of him, to have him come in was a dream come true for me.

"He spoke to all the staff and ordered some food for him and his team.

"He said the restaurant was one of the best restaurants he has ever been to in England."

Restaurant staff put on a belated birthday celebration for the enigmatic former boxer, who turned 40 in February.

Mayweather's visit to West Yorkshire came after appeared in a show in Liverpool on Friday.

He ordered his own unique milkshake blend while dining at Mr T's, with strawberries and M&Ms, which has since been named the Floyd Mayweather milkshake by Mr Malik.

Mr Malik said: "He said he had never even been to this part of Yorkshire before.

"He loved it, he said the love and hospitality he had from Mr Ts and being in Yorkshire, he absolutely enjoyed it.

"Afterwards he said he would love to invest in Mr Ts, either in Los Angeles or the UK.

"We’re in talks about that now but nothing is confirmed yet."

While at the restaurant, Mayweather once again reiterated his intention to fight Conor McGregor, taunting the Irish UFC star.
