Boy, 5, suffers head injuries in collision
A five-year-old boy was seriously injured after being knocked down as he apparently tried to cross a road to get from one parent to another.
The youngster is being treated for serious head injuries in Barnsley Hospital after the collision involving a Ford Kuga in Park Street, Wombwell. The crash happened at around 3.30pm on Wednesday.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the Ford at the time of the collision or immediately prior to it to call them on 0114 2202970.
