Boy dies in fall from flats

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after a six-year-old boy died when he fell from a block of flats in Leeds.

Police were called to reports that the youngster had plunged from the building in Lindsey Mount at about 5.15pm on Tuesday.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary but died a short time later.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “Four people have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect following the death of a six-year-old boy who fell from a block of flats.

“Two males, aged 57 and 36, and a 28-year-old female remain in police custody along with a 16-year-old female who was also arrested in connection with the same incident.”
