Brand divorce ‘difficulties’

Comic Russell Brand said his divorce from singer Katy Perry was difficult because there was “a lot of admin”.

The star split from Perry last year after 14 months of marriage, but told Lorraine Kelly the relationship “did work out in a way”.

Speaking on ITV1’s Lorraine show, he said: “She is a person that I love, but now this is a new time.”

The couple met at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2009 and married in a lavish ceremony in India. But rumours of cracks in their relationship circulated right from the start as their respective careers meant they were rarely in the same country.
