British prisoner accused of killing talks of dead 'angel'

A British man charged with murdering a Yorkshire woman in Crete has written an emotional letter from his prison cell describing her as an "angel".

Chelsea Hyndman, 21, died on the Greek island on May 17 after suffering ruptured internal organs which doctors said were caused by physical violence.

Her boyfriend Luke Walker, 22, from Brierley Hill, West Midlands, is charged with her murder after allegedly beating her in a jealous rage.

In a letter he wrote: "I know (Chelsea) is up there watching over me and all of you.

"I pray for her every night. She was the most perfect, wonderful person I have ever met. Her smile used to light up the room.

"Life is going to be so hard without my baby if I get out of here."

He thanked his friends for their support and asked them to raise a toast for "my angel".

Ms Hyndman, from Castleford, West Yorkshire, died a day after being admitted to hospital.
