She remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital, a Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said.

The couple, from Glen Parva, Leicestershire, were walking from a hotel in the city, where they had stayed overnight after going to the theatre, when the bull attacked. The animal has since been put down.

An inquest into Mr Freeman's death will be opened at Nottingham Coroner's Court on Thursday.
