Burglary suspects held

A woman aged 22 disturbed a man leaning through her kitchen window in The Groves at 7pm on Thursday and managed to give police a very good description.

He escaped empty-handed and a 38-year-old suspect was arrested an hour later at an address in Huntington Road on suspicion of burglary.

In the early hours of yesterday, police stopped a car being driven erratically in Little Hallfield Road. The driver was not the registered keeper and the vehicle was traced to a property in Melrosegate, which had been burgled.

A man aged 18 was arrested on suspicion of burglary and drink-driving.
