LEEDS-based Callcredit Information Group has secured a key acquisition which will help to increase its presence in the digital marketing sector.
Callcredit has bought online consumer data provider Lifestyles Online, which has 16 staff and is based in Bath.
Chris McDonald, the managing director for Data Solutions, at Callcredit Marketing Solutions, said: “This acquisition will send a clear message to the market that we are continuing to invest in emerging and growing markets and reflect the continuing shift of marketing spend.”
Callcredit, which is backed by private equity firm Vitruvian, has around 900 staff. Its turnover last year was around £79.4m. Over the past decade, the credit reference and marketing firm, which was founded by Skipton Building Society, has expanded rapidly to compete with rivals Experian and Equifax.
The Leeds office of Squire Sanders advised Callcredit on this transaction. The team was led by corporate senior associate Paul Mann, and tax advice was provided by partner Peter Morley.
