Callcredit success sees group expand its HQ

CREDIT reference agency Callcredit Information Group has expanded its premises to accommodate its growing business.

The company has expanded its presence at its headquarters, One Park Lane in Leeds, after signing a lease for an additional 6,000 sq ft.

Callcredit now occupies 65,000 sq ft in the building.

The group’s customers include many of the UK’s leading financial services companies, including all of the major clearing banks, major international and alternative finance lenders.

It also has customers across a mix of new and developing sectors.

Hedia Delly, group head of facilities and health and safety, said: “Over the last five years Callcredit has grown significantly. In 2007 the business employed 400 people, today it employs in excess of 900.

“As a result of this continued growth it was essential that we acquired additional office space here in Leeds. The fact that we have been able to extend our footprint within One Park Lane is important to us especially as we are now the principle occupier.”

She added: “The new space will allow us to extend our existing catering facilities, provide additional training and meeting rooms.

“The vast majority of the re-fit will be carried out by local based companies which is extremely pleasing and ensures that our success story provides a true ‘ripple’ effect in to the local business community.”

Richard Clark, partner at Knight Frank’s Leeds office, who advised on the expansion, said Knight Frank had advised Callcredit since 2002. He said: “We have worked as property advisers to Callcredit for the past 11 years.

“In 2006 we found more space for the expanding company and then re-geared their leases in 2010, giving them a commitment to One Park Lane until 2020.”

He added: “It has been a pleasure working with a company as successful as Callcredit and helping them get both security and value from their flagship premises.”

In addition to the Park Lane office the company has offices in, Hatfield in Kent, Bath, London, Swindon, Warrington, Japan, China and Lithuania.

The landlord of One Park Lane, Credit Suisse, was represented by Muller International.
