Cameron warned over trafficking

David Cameron has been urged not to let Tory Eurosceptics prevent him from signing a European directive tackling human trafficking.

The coalition Government has come under attack from Labour MPs and campaigners including the Archbishop of York for not signing up to the draft directive.

At Prime Minister’s Questions, Mr Cameron told Acting Labour leader Harriet Harman that human trafficking was an “evil trade” but insisted the UK was already taking all the steps outlined in the directive.
