Camilla finds kitten up to scratch

The playful eight-week-old tabby left Camilla looking like a scratching post after digging its claws into her expensive-looking jacket and refusing to let go.

The duchess met the feline and three of her brothers and sisters as she toured the new state-of-the art 5m cattery that will house as many as 150 abandoned, stray or donated animals.

When she walked into a socialising area for the cats and saw the four kittens, who will all soon be going to new homes, she said 'Ah sweet, is this the whole family here?.

Camilla is a self-confessed animal lover whose two Jack Russell dogs Rosie and Tosca travel with her whenever her schedule allows.
