Campaigner comes unstuck

A climate change activist has been arrested after gluing herself to a desk at the Royal Bank of Scotland's headquarters.

The woman, who has not been named, was among 150 activists who breached the security perimeter separating a climate camp from the bank's Edinburgh HQ at about midday yesterday.

Hundreds of activists have set up camp behind the RBS building to protest against what they claim is its funding of "climate chaos" with bank loans to fossil fuel companies.

The activist, who fellow protesters say was disguised as a banker, gained entry to the building and super-glued her hands to the front desk.
