The RSPCA is appealing for information after a stray domestic rabbit called Piglet was found at a Leeds tyre depot.
Staff at the tyre depot on Headingley Lane, Headingley, caught the rabbit and contacted the RSPCA.
RSPCA staff scanned it for a microchip and found the owners details.
RSPCA officer Faebian Vann, said: “Unfortunately, when I contacted the owner I was told that the rabbit had since changed hands and had been rehomed, and possibly rehomed twice in the last eight months.
“He is part of a bonded pair with another rabbit called Twiglet. There are no details for the current owner so I am appealing for anyone who may recognise Piglet to get in touch.” He added: “We would always advise owners to remember to keep their pet’s microchip details up to date.” Go to www.rspca.org.uk/findapet
