Families enjoyed a spectacular display from national parachute freefall team the Red Devils, as well as live music, a children's funfair, barbeque and fully staffed beer tent.

There were also performances from the Leeds Gymnast Club and West Yorkshire Fire Brigade Road Show, a police dog display, trade stalls, arts and crafts, cream teas, tombola and raffle.

The free gala helps raise funds towards the Yorkshire Cancer Centre 10m appeal, so it can continue its lifesaving work at the centre's base at St James's Hospital in Leeds.
