Cancer scientists open lab doors to the public

Scientists from Yorkshire looking for new treatments for the blood cancer myeloma are opening up the doors of their laboratories to the public.

Gina Doody and her research team, who are funded by the charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, are running an open afternoon in Leeds to give the public a chance to go behind the scenes in the fight against the disease.

People can drop in to Friday’s event from 4.30pm-6.30pm at the Bexley Wing of St James’s Hospital. To register and for more details go to beatingbloodcancers.org.uk/research.
