A GROUP of artists are heading out across rural Ryedale in a 1960s caravan to promote an upcoming festival.

The 1960s Sprite Caravan, which is the creation of Malton contemporary gallery Duckett and Jeffreys, will be touring a number of locations across the district over the next two months to showcase the Ryedale ArtFest which combines galleries and professional artists from across Ryedale and takes place this September and October.

This year there are nine galleries and 23 artists taking part, including a blacksmith, painters, sculptors, felt-makers, ceramicists and print makers.
