Care home warned after second inspection

The Care Quality Commission has issued a formal warning to a care home owner following an unannounced visit.

Jayne Lindley, registered provider of Victoria Court, in Bridlington, has been told she must make improvements by June or face further action. The CQC said Miss Lindley was failing to meet government regulations on the notification of incidents and safeguarding people from the risk of abuse. The home was inspected last November and found to be non-compliant with nine standards. Miss Lindley was unavailable for comment but said after the earlier inspection she did not recognise the home the CQC described.

At the time she said: “Everyone involved in Victoria Court knows that it is a very good home, with high standards of care.”
