Care home worker charged over injury to woman aged 83

A MEMBER of staff at a care home where an elderly woman was injured has been charged with ill treatment and neglect.

A woman aged 83 spent weeks in hospital after being hurt in an incident at the privately-run Windsor Court care home in Goole last November.

Humberside Police said the woman, who has not been named, has been released on bail and is due to appear at Beverley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 12.

The other two have been released without charge.

It is not clear what the nature of the woman’s injuries was, but she was allegedly left unattended at the time.

The home, in Bartholomew Avenue, is owned by HC-One, which specialises in dementia, nursing and residential care and has homes throughout the UK.
