Care staff in TV home abuse probe in court

Three members of staff at a care home featured in a television investigation into allegations of abuse have admitted mistreating patients.

Wayne Rogers, 31, Alison Dove, 24 and Holly Draper, 22, appeared at Bristol Crown Court yesterday alongside eight other members of staff charged with a string of offences alleged at Winterbourne View care home in Hambrook, South Gloucestershire.

Rogers, of Purton Close, Bristol, pleaded guilty to nine charges of ill-treating two patients while Dove, of Chipperfield Drive, Bristol, pleaded guilty to seven charges involving three women.

Draper pleaded guilty to two charges of ill-treatment.

Rogers pleaded not guilty to one charge and Dove pleaded not guilty to another. The pleas were ordered to lie on the file.

All three were bailed for pre-sentence reports.
