Carers needed to trial new app

People in Craven are being called upon to try out a new mobile phone app which offers reassurance to carers and the people they care for.

The app, which has been developed by Carers’ Resource, who are based near Skipton, helps carers keep connected with those they care for while at work, school, out and about. The organisation is looking for people to try it out and give honest feedback.

Chairman of Carers’ Resource ,David Harbourne said: “It’s suitable for people of all ages – provided they can use a modern phone – and gives them both independence and reassurance as they go about their daily lives.

“At the heart of the app is a panic button which lets the carer know of problems as soon as they happen.”
