Cash boost for cancer patients at hospital

Cancer patients are to benefit from a donation after £3,585 was raised for Bradford Royal Infirmary’s oncology ward.

Former patient Paul Muszanskyj celebrated 18 years of remission from lymphoma by hosting a music event which raised money for ward 15, where he spent several months battling the disease in 1995.

The graphic designer, from Brighouse, said: “In embarking on this project I was unaware of just what an impact it would have on me. The same generosity of spirit and care I found on the ward was the reason why I wished to return and raise these funds and my journey has been overwhelming.”

Around 250 people attended the event earlier this year at Farnley Sports and Social Club in Leeds.
