Casting light on working lives

OVER a working lifetime, former tool retailer Ken Hawley assembled a collection of tools and instruments that chart the change in industry over the last six decades.

And now Mr Hawley, 83, is set to share his expertise during a free one-day exhibition in Low Bradfield Village Hall.

Visitors to the event on Sunday October 2, run by the Bradfield Historical Society, will be able to find out about the industries that operated in the area in years gone by. Examples of tools will be on display from the Hawley Collection Trust, together with old farming machinery and equipment.
