Castle time travellers
PRINCESSES packed out Bolsover Castle, near Chesterfield, yesterday as the castle’s medieval-themed Jubilee celebrations continued.
The “Time Travellers Go… Knights and Princesses” event will also run today and tomorrow.
English Heritage events manager Lucy Hutchings said: “We’re inviting all young princesses to put on their prettiest dress and head down to Bolsover Castle to travel back in time for Jubilee activities on a medieval theme. Children can meet a medieval queen and a knight, learn about etiquette and try on armour. “
Ms Hutchings added: “There will be squire training for aspiring knights and the opportunity to take part in a children’s battle.”
