CCTV appeal: Burglar stole charity boxes from Sheffield vets

Investigating officers today released a CCTV image of the suspect as they appealed for the public's help in tracing him.

The burglar took place at Springfield Vets in Richmond Road, Handsworth, at around 4.30am on Christmas Eve.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "It is believed the man pictured smashed a window to gain entry to the vets before making off with a number of charity boxes.

"Damage was caused to two windows at the vets during the reported burglary.

"Despite extensive enquiries the suspect has not yet been identified."

Anyone who recognises the man or has information on the burglary is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 293 of 24 December.
