A bag containing two board games was stolen from the man following the assault.

Officers arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and short time later. He has been released on police bail to a date next month, pending further enquiries.

However, the second man is yet to be identified.

Detective Chief Inspector Alan Curtis said: “This was an isolated incident. Luckily incidents of this kind are rare and we don’t believe there is any threat to the wider public.

“However, we are keen to track down this man so that we can eliminate him from our enquiries.
