Celebrity chef backs charity

CELEBRITY chef Marco Pierre White returned home to Yorkshire yesterday and the restaurant where he trained as a junior to help prepare an exclusive fundraising lunch.

The outspoken TV star, who grew up in Leeds, joined friend and business partner Simon Gueller, the head chef at the Michelin-starred The Box Tree in Ilkley, and special guests to cook up the feast in aid of The Haven, a charity which supports men and women with breast cancer. “As a Yorkshireman I am incredibly proud to support The Haven in the region,” Marco said.

“The Haven provides an incredibly valuable service to people with breast cancer and with more people being diagnosed with the disease it is vital for them to be able to access the support to help them and their families cope.”
