Chance for job hunters to find work

JOB seekers are to get the chance to meet potential employers at a free drop-in event coming up at Buttershaw Youth Centre shortly.

The event takes place on Monday, October 3, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. It is being run by Incommunities, the largest social landlord in the Bradford District in partnership with Be Involved – part of Bradford Chamber of Commerce.

Residents will be able to sign up with local recruitment agency, Candelisa People, on the day. A number of local employers are also expected to take part.

They will be joined by advisers from Connexion Bradford, Jobcentre Plus, the Bradford-based Safety First Community Training Centre and local youth services.

Andy Walsh, the housing group, Open Field’s community co-ordinator for Woodside and Buttershaw, said: “This free event is open to anyone looking for work or guidance on finding the right training for them.

“If you want to come along then bring your CV, if you have one. If you would like to register with the recruitment agency please bring your passport or two other forms of ID (one with a photo).”
