Chance to mark Mother’s Day with a stately celebration

BECK Marriott, who works at Harewood House, her son Albie Marriott, 18 months, and her mother Sandra Olive were at the historic home yesterday ahead of Mother’s Day.

Harewood House, near Leeds, home to the Earl and Countess of Harewood, is offering the chance of fresh air and good food on Mother’s Day, Sunday, April 3.

The menu is crafted around family favourites with many of the ingredients on the menu sourced locally. It costs £29.95 per adult, or £27.95 for members and £12.50 per child. The price includes a choice of dishes and entry to the grounds so visitors can wander along the lakeside walk, visit the Bird Garden and catch with some old favourites such as the penguins or the flamingos.

Bookings are between noon and 2.30pm on Sunday, April 3.

Lunch will be served in the Gawthorpe Suite and Harewood Suite in The Courtyard. There is no need to pre-book menu choices.

From 1 April, Harewood opens daily until October 30. Events this year include Easter celebrations with Alice in Wonderland from Friday, April 22, to Monday, April 25.
