Charity funds three university projects

Yorkshire Cancer Research is giving £530,000 towards three projects at Leeds University, following £1.1m investment into the university's work on improved surgical techniques for cancer patients.

Those awarded funding include Prof Monica Hollstein, of the Leeds Institute of Genetics, Prof Sue Burchill of the Leeds Institute of Molecular Medicine and Dr Gina Doody and Reuben Tooze from the section of experimental haematology at St James’s Hospital.
