Charity switches base to city

A CHRISTIAN charity is to move its national headquarters from the South-East to Sheffield.

Church Army, which already has a base in the city's Cavendish Street, said it would move some of its staff from London and its Sidcup headquarters but would also create 17 new jobs.

The charity welcomed Archbishop Desmond Tutu to its Wilson Carlile Centre in Sheffield last November to launch its Xplore project.
