Charles and Camilla in Harrogate today

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are in Harrogate today on a trip to mark the 50th anniversary of Harrogate international Festival.

But the royal couple are also using the day to making two other official visits to organisations they have supported in the past.

Harrogate International Festival was first launched in 1966 and has a feast of events coming up this year to celebrate.

Prince Charles is Patron of the and he and the Duchess of Cornwall will be at the Royal Hall at lunchtime today, Harrogate.

Former Festival Young Musician Lesley Garrett and clarinettist Emma Johnson will give a short musical performance, introduced by Julian Lloyd Webber.

Afterwards the royal couple will meet key staff and supporters.

Their next visit will be to Harrogate District Hospital to tour the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre and meet staff and patients.

Prince Charles is patron of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Finally, they go to Taylors of Harrogate to meet staff in the tea tasting rooms, before visiting Bettys cookery school and craft bakery in Starbeck.
