Taylors of Harrogate, makers of Yorkshire Tea, has sent the newest royal her very own box of specially branded Charlotte’s Tea, swapping its well-known red stripe on the box with a pink design.

The tea brand created a selection of commemorative boxes in anticipation of the birth, featuring the favourite boys and girls names according to bookmakers.

The packs were held at Yorkshire Tea’s headquarters until the royal baby arrived and the name and sex of the baby was announced, and now the ‘Charlotte’ box has been sent by courier to Kensington Palace to give the new princess her first box of “proper brew”.

The other 19 packs are now up for grabs in a one-off Facebook competition, where Yorkshire Tea fans with the same name as the bookmaker’s baby favourites can enter to win their very own limited edition tea.

Tom Blair, brand manager at Yorkshire Tea said: “There’s nothing more British than a nice cup of tea so we felt it was only our duty to send the new princess a one off pack of Yorkshire Tea. It’s also great that we can get our tea drinkers involved in the fun and give them a chance to win a special edition box of their own. ”

Names in the top 19 include Henry, Arthur, Victoria, Anna and Diana.
