GALLERY owners Ian and Stef Mitchell prepare to welcome art lovers after parking their caravan at Blakey Ridge in Ryedale yesterday.

The couple, who run Malton contemporary gallery Duckett and Jeffreys, will be touring a number of locations across the district over the next two months to promote an upcoming festival.

The 1960s Sprite Caravan is hitting the road to showcase the Ryedale ArtFest, which features galleries and professional artists from across Ryedale and takes place in September and October.

This year there are nine galleries and 23 artists taking part, including a blacksmith, painters, sculptors, felt-makers, ceramicists and print makers.
