Chefs rise to pudding challenge

Chefs Katie Hansell, and Maggie Anderton get in the mix as the Black Swan Inn in Peasholme Green, York, prepares to host the region's first cookery competition in 40 years to create the perfect Yorkshire pudding.

The contest will be held on Saturday, September 4, and the day will also see the launch of a campaign to promote the world-famous puddings.

Any restaurant or pub that is serving home-made Yorkshire puddings will be given a "Real Pudding Club"sticker to display. Entry forms are available from the Black Swan Inn or online at www.yorkshirepud.com
