Child sex pervert jailed for abuse of teenager he met at Leeds Station
A judge was told yesterday that the 13-year-old from the Bradford area, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was “groomed” over the internet by 35-year-old Thomas Pinchin before they met at Leeds railway station in January 2011.
Bradford Crown Court heard that Pinchin, of Weir Road, London, had amassed a sickening collection of child sexual abuse images over a six-year period and had been searching the internet for an image of his “perfect boy”.

Judge Rose said he had read a synopsis of one of the most shocking movies and it would horrify members of the public if they knew what it contained.
Pinchin, who had no previous convictions, pleaded guilty to a series of charges including meeting a child after sexual grooming and engaging in sexual activity with a child.
He also admitted a series of charges relating to his possession of over 18,000 indecent images of children and more than 700 child abuse movies.

“Every time a pornographic image is taken of a child that child suffers a dreadful sexual abuse,” said the judge.
“An abuse performed for the benefit of adults such as you and for which you must therefore bear some responsibility.
“So your victims in fact are not but one but are hundreds if not thousands.”

Judge Rose described the abuse as “demeaning, degrading and perverted” and noted that Pinchin wanted to meet up with the boy again this time in London.
“Thankfully that event did not take place,” the judge added.
Judge Rose said at the time of the offences the boy was vulnerable and confused and had already been subjected to sexual abuse by other men.

Pinchin’s barrister told the judge that much good work had been done with his client to address his problems.
Barrister Katherine Blackwell said Pinchin’s “darkest secret” had been uncovered by the police inquiry and he was ashamed and regretful.
“The defendant has lost his good character...and his life has changed forever,” she added.
