Christmas countdown for panto season

One of the stars of the classic TV comedy 'Allo 'Allo is heading to Leeds to play a lead role in this year's Carriageworks Christmas pantomime.

Actress Sue Hodge, who played cheeky French waitress and resistance fighter Mimi Labonq in the long-running BBC series, will take on the role of fairy godmother in Cinderella which will run at the Millennium Square venue from Friday, December 3 until January.

Members of the cast paid their first visit to the venue yesterday including Suzanne David, who plays Cinderella, with the Ugly Sisters Roger Darrock (Trinny) and Stephen Howe (Susannah).
