Tomorrow, the church will host a variety of craft activities for children, such as making bird and bat boxes, face painting and painting on canvas. For adults, there will be demonstrations in crafts such as leatherworking, metal forging and embroidery.

Weather-permitting, the event will include tours of the Silkstone Parish Church tower.

A spokesman for Pennine Artists said: "The church is filled with superb artworks produced by many of the members of

Pennine Artists and selected friends.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to view the work of local artists and to purchase that something special as the perfect gift for Christmas.

"You can also do it all without the stress of the high street."
