The show is Cirque’s most popular UK presentation, following its record-breaking run at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Set within a magical world within a forest atop a volcano at the edge of time, the show traces one young man’s absurd and extraordinary journey.

The word Varekai means “wherever” in the Romany language. Director Dominic Champagne says the production “pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to those who quest with infinite passion along the path that leads to Varekai”.

Tickets go on sale this Friday for five Sheffield shows between February 2-5, and six in Leeds from February 22-26.
