City of skills in making as training boosted
The fund will be made up of money that used to be handed down to Sheffield from the Government in parts to be spent on specific things such as transport. It will be given as a lump sum.
It will mean that the cash is handed over without restrictions and a new combined authority will decide how to spend it.
Among the projects likely to get funding is a new business quarter which will be created alongside improved utilities for local firms.
