#CleanUpYorks: Get involved in a clean up this June

The Clean Up Yorkshire campaign will see groups across the region hold litter picks throughout June.

Whether it’s taking a bag with you while you walk your dog, or organising an event in your community or workplace, we want to hear about it.

Below is a list of Clean Up events already organised as part of the campaign. To add yours to the list, send the details, including the date and time, meeting point and a contact name and number to [email protected]

WEST YORKSHIRE

Guiseley, Leeds: Litter Free Guiseley will be collecting every Sunday in June. Contact them here.
Pudsey, Leeds: Clean Up Pudsey will be collecting on Sunday June 14. Meet outside New Pudsey rail station ticket office at 1.30pm.

Chapeltown, Leeds: Ward councillors will be organising a pick. Date to be confirmed.

Bramley: Spring Valley Rangers after-school club.

Chapeltown, Leeds: Newton Futures have arranged a pick up on Saturday June 13. Meet on Newton Grove at 11am.

Pinders Heath, Wakefield: Pinders Heath Residents Association will be collecting on Wednesday June 10 and Sunday June 21, meet at 10am on both dates on the communal green on the estate.

Tadcaster: Tadcaster Litter Collecters will be picking on June 14 in the town centre.

NORTH YORKSHIRE


Pickering: Pickering Pickers will meet on Sunday June 13 at 10am at Eastgate carpark.

Malton: Malton and Norton Tidy Group will be meeting at 10am on Sunday June 7 at the Walter Lane car park.

Askham Bryan: Villagers will be holding a litter pick on June 20. Volunteers to meet at the village hall at 9am.

South Milford: South Milford Clean Team.

Sherburn in Elmet: June 13 from 10am until noon.

Robin Hood’s Bay: Meet outside the old lifeboat station at 12pm on June 21.

Scarborough: The Friends of Dean Road and Manor Road Cemetery will be picking up litter in the cemetery on June 7 from 10am till noon. Meet at Dean Road chapel.

EAST YORKSHIRE

Rawcliffe: Rawcliffe Rubbish Riders will meet on the village green at 10am on Saturday June 13.

Flamborough: Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has organised a pick for Flamborough South Landing on June 12, meet at 10am.

Bridlington: Brightening up Bridlington will be picking on June 20.

SOUTH YORKSHIRE

Doncaster: The Friends of Sandall Park in Doncaster will be doing a Clean Up Day on June 8, meet in the main car park at 10.30am.

Barnsley: Dodworth village community group will be carrying out a litter pick on June 21 in the village. The litter pick will start 9.30am.

Mapplewell and Staincross Greenspace and Recreation Group will be carrying out two litter picks on June 15, one in the morning and one in the evening.

Nether Edge, Sheffield: A clean up will take place on June 13 - meet outside Sainsbury’s.
