Coasting to charity goal

Yorkshire cyclists are being offered the chance to participate in their own epic route with a dramatic Coast to Coast ride in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Vicky Griffin, organiser of the Marie Curie ‘Le Coast to Coast 2014’ challenge, lined up with Robyn Carter on bicycles with some of the participants ahead of the launch event in York on Saturday.

The route will take cyclists from the shores of Scarborough to the coast of the Irish Sea, with all funds going to the cancer care charity’s coffers.

The ride itself will take place between June 20 and 22, with a variety of training events planned in the run-up to it.
