College plays host to popular horse trials

Askham Bryan College near York teamed up with British Eventing, the national governing body for the sport, to host the new equine event. The competition was so oversubscribed a waiting list for competitors had to be put in place.
Philip Grant, the organiser and the college's Head of Development, said: "It is a very much a sought-after competition."
