Columns and columnists

Have your say

From: Mrs Clover Todd, Bewholme, Driffield.

I WAS somewhat startled to read that “Napoleon was on his Trafalgar Square column!” (The Yorkshire Post Magazine, May 17) I thought every school child in Britain was well enough informed on our island history to know that Nelson won the Battle of Trafalgar.

ONCE again my spirits are lifted by Bill Carmichael in his Friday column (The Yorkshire Post, May 16) and by no means for the first time. Here he dealt, very effectively, with two current topics – Labour’s “un-credible shrinking man” broadcast and a bloke with a beard wearing a frock. Wonderful stuff.
