Comedy evening set to help charity

The Calderdale Parent & Carer’s Council (CPCC) will host a line-up of local and nationally-recognised comedians at the Square Chapel, Halifax, on November 2.

The event is sponsored by leading law firm Irwin Mitchell, which is working with the charity to help raise funds so that it can continue to help and support families of children and young adults who have special educational or additional needs.

The project manager at CPCC, Karen Bull, said: “We need to raise vital funds every year to make sure that we can continue to provide the help and support to the local families who depend on us.”

Comedian Mick Ferry, who has appeared on BBC One programme Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and who writes for John Bishop’s Britain, will act as the MC for the evening which will also include an appearance from a high-profile secret headline act.
