Commuter chaos as accident blocks M1 into Leeds
AN ACCIDENT caused rush hour commuter chaos on the M1 into Leeds this morning.
Traffic was queueing southbound at junction 41, and there was congestion to the M621 at Belle Isle, and on the M62 back to Rothwell and Stourton.
Northbound there was stop-start traffic from junction 41 after an earlier closure.
All lanes reopened at around 9am but delays were forecast for the rest of the morning peak period.
