“Let’s concentrate on Ronan and getting him healthy,” said Huddersfield head coach Anderson, after his side’s 10-2 loss against Wakefield Trinity.

“Silence is the thing. We respect his family and put all our prayers and hope into him getting well.”

The West Yorkshire club has asked that the privacy of the family is respected.

A statement read: “All messages of support will be passed on at the appropriate time and the player is currently receiving treatment in the Leeds General Infirmary.”
