Cool new ice bar opens in Leeds city centre

WITH all this hot weather, it’s time we cooled off.

And what better way than by chilling out at Leeds’ brand new ice bar?

The Coors Light Ice Bar is coming to The Bierkeller on South Parade this summer for 12 teeth-chattering weeks.

It’s just £5 to visit the pop-up bar near The Headrow, and the price includes a 30-minute ice bar session, ice sculptures, photo area and a drink.

It launches tonight and will be open from 5pm to midnight on Fridays and midday to midnight on Saturday and Sunday.

It’s expected to be pretty popular though, so you’ll need to book.

The ice bar is also available for private bookings so if you have a birthday coming up and fancy something a bit different, it’s worth keeping in mind.

Just when we thought Leeds had it all, something new comes along.

It’s great to see the city’s bar scene thriving and evolving, and long may it continue.

Let’s just hope that if the ice bar proves to be enough of a hit that someone will take up the idea on a more permanent basis.
