Corgis on parade

glassfibre Corgis will form part of a Royal-themed parade to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in Bradford.

The Lord Mayor of Bradford’s 2012 Parade on Saturday May 19 will feature themed costumes, floats and the Queen’s favourite dogs – which are twice life size.

Each Royal corgi will be hand-decorated by local artists and after the event will be auctioned at a special charity gala, raising money for this year’s Mayoral charity, Marie Curie Bradford.

One of the corgis was unveiled yesterday by Lord Mayor, Councillor Naveeda Ikram, who said: “This is the first time we have let the dogs out.”
