Corn Exchange in tenancy talks

BOSSES at the Corn Exchange in Leeds are in talks with potential new occupiers of the cavernous basement space left vacant by the collapse of superchef Anthony Flinn’s restaurant empire.

Mr Flinn’s eateries closed abruptly over the summer after his business ran into financial trouble. Now, however, the Corn Exchange’s managing agents have revealed the space could soon be home to one or more new occupiers.

Rod Witton, director of GBR Phoenix Beard, said: “We currently are in discussion with a number of interested parties about the future of the lower ground floor space which has the potential for several different bar [and] restaurant concepts.”
